UFL REFEREE CONFERENCE CALL

Purpose: To help get all of the refs on the same page as we enter the playoffs.
PLAYOFF NOTES:

All teams are have not disbanded make the playoffs. The playoffs are single elimination in all divisions.

All 8 on 8 playoff games will be on Saturday Nov. 14 and Saturday Nov. 21.

5 on 5 playoffs will start Tuesday, Nov. 10 and there will be games that Tues, Wed (11th), Thurs (12th), and then the two Saturdays (14th and 21st). The 5 on 5 A division starts this Saturday and we may finish that division as early as Tuesday, Nov. 10th.

The playoff schedule will be posted on Sunday. I will get it posted as early as I can, but it will take some time to determine seeds (with so many tie-breakers to determine) and to create the schedule. PLEASE NOTE: The game times may change slightly for both the weeknights this next week and on the two Saturdays of playoffs. The reason for this is that we have so many teams that we need to fit 5 time slots into the weeknights (the earliest game will be at 5:25 PM) and 9 time slots into the Saturdays (the earliest game will be at 8 AM on Saturdays). I will do my best to adhere to preferences but it really all depends upon where you're seeded (higher seeds get their preferences looked at first), the number of teams in your division, other division prefences, trying to avoid teams that have players that play on multiple teams play at the same time as their other team, scheduling around player/refs, etc., etc., etc.

If you have a specific preference for the first week, you need to email it to me by Saturday night (Nov. 7th). Again, I can't guarantee anything with it being playoffs, but I'll do my best to try to adhere to as many preferences as possible.

ALSO. PLEASE LOOK AT YOUR STANDINGS ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON/NIGHT AND VERIFY THAT THEY ARE CORRECT. We've had several games where the refs wrote the score next to the wrong team so I need to know about those before I determine seeds. It's too late after the schedule has been completed.

We highly recommend all players getting this insurance, even if you already
have health insurance. It is about $17-$26 (depending on chosen coverage)
per month for an individual and it will cover anything that is not covered
by your regular insurance. The miniscual $17 is definitely worth it when considering
any type of serious or even minor injury can end up being very expensive,
considering co-pays, deductibles, etc. They offer discounts for more than
one person and you can carry it month to month, for the season or year round.
